Brown eyed boy | Melbourne child photographer

Ok, I'll start this post by saying that little Jack made me swoon. Seriously. It takes me a lot to get clucky these days, but Jack did it. I just wanted to squish his cheeks and stare at that gorgeous little face all day long. And he's one of "those kids"... you know the ones: they sleep all night, laugh all day, happy little campers. One of those.

I feel so blessed to have been able to hang out with this little superstar yesterday afternoon with his parents Mick and Kat. Beautiful people, beautiful family, and now some beautiful images of you all cherish.

Enjoy these guys xoxox

Amy + Brendan | Melbourne engagement photographer

So I'm shooting Amy and Brendan's wedding next month, and I'm sooooo excited!!! These two are just so cute, I just wanted to bundle them up into my camera bag and take them home with me!! We had their engagement shoot this afternoon, in the beautiful Melbourne evening sun. With their beautiful pooch, Henry, of course. He was awesome... Posing for me and being a bit too sweet.

Enjoy these Amy and Brendan.... I had so much fun with you guys (I was late getting home, hahaha!) and I simply can.not.wait for your wedding next month. Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!

Canola Canola - we love Coca Cola!

(Sorry, it's an in-joke... Tee hee hee, you get it though Flea, right??)

I am catching up with a whole bunch of work that I have sitting here staring at me in the face! Eek! This post is a bit delayed (sorry Julie, I know you've been itching to see them!), and I would have had it up earlier this evening if it wasn't for an unfortunate hour of one of my kids up sick...

Anyhoo, I digress... I had a totally fantastic spring shoot a little while ago. I was driving out to meet Julie and her kids and drove past the most amazing canola fields. I mentioned it when I arrived and Julie went over to check it was ok with the farmer... Not only was it ok, but she took us out to a back paddock and opened the gate for us and all. It was better than awesome!

So here are a few shots from our session. It was hard to only pick a couple, but here they are! Enjoy!!

Julie, let me know what you think of this editing. I love it, but realise it's not to everyone's taste.

Cute as a button...

... Baby Lily, almost 7 months old, and pretty as a picture. Check out her big blue eyes and adorable rosy cheeks! I had so much fun photographing her - she was a total dream. Happy, smiley, oh so cute... Sheesh... can you tell I loved her!?!? Heheh.

It was sooo hard for me to choose just a few favourites for the preview...

Enjoy! (Kiley, the rest of your gallery will be ready really soon - I can't stay away from these!)

Spring weddings...

... can be so unpredictable! Especially with Melbourne's weather... Don't get me wrong, I love our fair city, and wouldn't live anywhere else, but yes, our weather is very temperamental.

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of second shooting for Jessie at j [studios] and her new assistant Bree, and can I just say - I had a BALL! There was a lot of driving on the agenda, which would have been fine if we didn't get out to the beach for our shoot only to have to turn around and come back again because the heavens opened and we got absolutely drenched.

But nevertheless we got some awesome shots, had a ton of fun, and went home completely exhausted after a long day.

So here are some of the shots I got of the day of Chris and Kat's wedding. Jessie's photos can be found here: Jessie's blog

First up is the boss lady herself (just because she did it to me first :-p )

Sunny Sunday morning...

The last preview from my weekend shoots! (Told ya I was busy!) I had a heap of fun chasing 4yo Cooper and his (almost) 1yo sister Ellie around. Cooper was the master of the cheesey grin, but we did manage to get a few natural shots of him, and I think you'll agree that he's a big spunk! And well, what can I say about Miss Ellie - what a little doll! She was such a trooper. I had a lot of fun with both kids.

Megan, enjoy your preview! I'll be in touch again soon.

Everybody needs good neighbours...

These 2 total spunks are neighbours and I spent a lovely afternoon with them and their mums; playing, gasbagging, drinking tea... oh and taking photos.

8 month old Eden is WALKING (yes - you read right!) so his shoot turned out to be a bit more difficult than I would normally expect for an 8 month old, but I managed to get some really lovely shots of him playing and toddling around.

5.5 month old Julia happily layed about for me and posed without running away. She has the biggest eyes ever - and so sparkly.

How beautiful are they?! I imagine they'll get into quite a bit of mischief together as they get older! :-)

Thanks so much Jade and Erica for yesterday. You guys are a hoot and I had so much fun. I hope you enjoy your preview.

The Firecracker and the Chubby Bubby...

On Monday I headed out to see a family for a session with their 6 month old chubby bubby, B, and their other son, 2 year old D.

Wowee, D was such a firecracker!!! He just did not stop going the whole time I was there. It was hard to pin him down, but I got a few good shots of him exactly as he is and I had an absolute blast with him. It was so nice to gain his trust and we played lots of fun games (especially grass hats - I was still pulling the grass out of my hair the next day, lol).

Baby B was a gorgeous little boy, so happy to be placed and moved. And a great age too, because he couldn't escape, haha.

Alison and Dave, enjoy your preview. Thanks so much for inviting me into your lives, and I'll be in touch very soon when your gallery is ready.
