Oscar

Hello friends! The blog has been a bit quiet of late... because I've been so busy! We've had Easter, birthdays, weddings and all manner of craziness in this house lately, it feels like I've finally had a chance just this week to sit down and get a blog post ready.

So here is little Oscar. He was the sweetest little man, and even though he was teething and - according to Mum and Dad - quite miserable, I still thought he was a divine little dude. I had a bunch of fun hanging out with him on a sunny Autumn afternoon.

His Mum and Dad's house (backyard in particular) was so gorgeous and quirky, and I could have spent many more hours exploring and photographing their knick-knacks, but they weren't real great for a 6 month old to explore, so I've promised to come back when he's a bit older and have some great adventures with him!

Thomas!

Little Thomas is 3 months old, and cute as a button! The most amazing soulful eyes, gorgeous cluck-inducing smiles, and just so full of light. I really enjoyed spending a good couple of hours chilling out with him at home with his Mum and Dad... I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday morning.

There is something so so special about watching first time parents with their children. The sense of wonder, and overwhelming love they exude just melts me. Brooke and Trav, I loved meeting your little dude, and I loved seeing you guys just mesmerised by him. Enjoy these x

Sisters

I've talked before about the special bond that sisters share, and having two myself I can testify to that first hand. My sisters are my best friends. We share everything, laugh and fight. But we love each other wildly.

These two gorgeous little beans are going to grow up with a similar bond, you can already tell. I photographed Asher back in 2009 when she was teeny tiny, and when I went back for a visit last week I almost thought I was in the wrong house. She's grown up so much (as babies tend to do, I guess) and her big sis India has as well!

Their last session is here: Asher and India 2009

Last time we used the quaint little steps in the backyard to get some "still" shots of a very active toddler. This time it was the only way to get "still" shots of two gorgeous sisters together.

This is my first attempt at a more lifestyle shoot. Following the kids, allowing them to be themselves. I really enjoy the freedom in shooting this way, and it is the way I plan to shoot all my family sessions from now on. Let me know in the comments section what you think!

Thanks again Rachel for welcoming me into your home. I have so many gorgeous photos of your girls (and your bunny) for you, I couldn't keep the preview to just a few. Enjoy these and I'll be in touch soon xxx

India showing me how clever she is at pulling faces. I didn't encourage her. Much.

And then we started to get tired, so headed inside for a story before bed...

Miss Holly, and the end of her first year adventure

During my blogging break my lil superstar friend Holly turned one! And of course I was on hand to document it for her and her parents. It was a bit of a milestone... A true long standing project and one that I am proud to have completed, but more so, proud to have shared with such a darling and vivacious little girl.

Happy birthday beautiful darling girl.
And a little trip down memory lane... Holly's 1st year...

Bree's gorgeous belly

This time last year I was photographing baby Zarah with her cousins, and now baby Zarah is about to become a big sister, how cool is that? Bree is super stunning, and even though she feels like the size of a whale she totally isn't, and is just radiating with good health and happiness.

What started as a maternity session for Bree, with only a few short weeks to go in her pregnancy, quickly became more of a celebration session for her and Zarah - celebrating the time they have together now before new bubbaloo comes along!

I hope you enjoy these Bree. You seriously are glowing xox

My kids and their cousins | Melbourne child photographer

Last week I caught up with my sister to take some photos of my kids, and hers, for my Dad for fathers day. I waited until Dad had his photos before I blogged the images, just in case!

So I gave them to him yesterday, and I *think* he might have teared up a little ;-)

Some of my faves from the day. Love.

All four together. Yes it was tricky and there were tears. Yes there was biscuits involved.
Four cousins

The girls. My daugher (the blondie) and her cousin are only 6 months apart in age. I almost dread to think of the mischief they will get up to as they get older.
Cousins

The boys.

Happy little Holly | Melbourne child photographer

My little buddy is 9 months old! A total chub-chub, a flirt, a groover and a little treasure. I'm loving our 3 monthly sessions, it's so ace to see how she's changing and growing.

Today's session was supposed to be an outside concept shoot, but those of you in Melbourne know how impossibly our weather has been lately. Just so unpredictable and honestly quite a bit loopy, so we stayed indoors today. We have our fingers crossed for some pleasant weather on Tuesday (please weather gods, please?!?), so stay tuned for that session.

I have so many precious shots of my little Holly dolly that I love from today! Enjoy these xox

How special are these? Holly's Pop Pop came around for a little visit, I just had to capture their special bond - look at that eye contact, she adores him! <3

Mini session

Mini sessions are a heap of fun - it's just GO GO GO for about half an hour. I had a mini session last weekend for a previous client, to get some extra shots of siblings Roman and Amy together. And it was great, because we took a stack of shots, got some great ones, and then just when Roman had had enough we could call it a day!

If you are interested in having a mini session with me, let me know! And keep an eye on the blog because I'm going to announce a whole day of mini sessions soon!

(As an aside, what do you think of the processing? It's a different look for me, but I think I like it.)

Amazing Gracy

My poor little blog has been somewhat neglected over the last month (somewhat meaning totally), but what a way to get back to blogging. Look at little Gracy... is she not the sweetest lil babe you ever did see?! Her mum and dad are wanting lots of black and white images, but I couldn't resist processing a few in colour... She has the most beautiful skin, and the soft colours really suit her!

And before you decide that, yes she is the cutest thing ever, get a load of big sis Sienna! What a star! So gorgeous, and so helpful, and such a good singer and joke teller... We've promised to work together again soon, lol.

Enjoy these C and E... I hope they do your gorgeous daughters justice.

Holly is 6 months old now!

As most of my blog readers would know, I'm closely following the first 12 months of my dear little friend Holly, and would you believe she is now 6 months old??

To celebrate we had a shoot with all her family - aunts, uncles and grandies. I had the *best* time, and loved hanging out with all these special people (plus there was a feast for lunch, so that's always a bonus ;-) )

Enjoy these you lot. And happy half birthday Holly. Love you to the moon and back xox
