Up to date! Phew!!!!
Day 23 - Ivy decided it was pants off Saturday, and ran around for hours in the nud. Then when Elliot wanted to paint, of course she did too.... And still didn't want any clothes on! Most of my photos of her aren't really suitable for the net, due to said pants being off, but here are my kidlets enjoying the saturday sunshine doing some painting:

Day 24 - Elliot went to have ANOTHER sleep over, this time at his cousin's house. I took this photo of him just before I was going home, and he barely had time to stop having fun to say goodbye to me...

Still catching up from last week! But after today, all be all up to date! Yippee!!
Day 21 - went to mum and dad's for a short visit. The kids had a water noodle fight with dad :-)

Day 22 - after mothers group, and before we went to a friends house for dinner, the darlings both had an icecream in the backyard. Ivy did surprisingly well with hers, and they both enjoyed the down time.

Last post for the night, and I'll be back in the morning with a couple more...
Day 19, we went to visit my sister and her 2 kids. The kids all adore each other, and Ivy and her cousin are only 6 months apart in age. I have no doubt that they'll grow up to be firm friends.

I love this photo for so many reasons... The craziness of her hair, the silly look on her face, the awesome colours behind her. Mostly because its just sooooo her.

Day 20 - Ivy played with the playdough. She had a wonderful time. And she's started saying colours, so it was good to be able to get the different coloured things out and let her practice. Here, she is clearly saying purple! At the moment everything is either "bue" or "lellow" so I think she was a bit chuffed that she got it right, lol.

Elliot didn't want to play with the playdough, but instead he made Ivy a storybook (naww). It was called "Turkey the Frog". Yes it was about a frog named Turkey. Super cute. And you know, I don't like to brag... but my son is one very clever 4-year-old. Everything you see on the table in front of him he did himself. His literacy and numeracy skills are seriously amazing.

Yes, I know I'm behind in blogging these... I've been really slack with my personal editing, mainly because I'm using a new program which I'm still learning, but also because said program is making my computer lag sooo badly it's driving me crazy.
So here we are, day 17 and 18!! We're on the home stretch!!
We had a family photoshoot with the wonderful Caspix on the Sunday, and it consumed all my energy thinking about the outfits, the weather, meeting Cas and not fainting with excitement, that I forgot to do my photo. So I took these as the kids were going to bed, lol.

Day 18, we played Bingo. Elliot won. Twice.
Ivy got grumpy because we wouldn't let her play, so after we'd finished we let her tip all the balls out and put them away again... She thought that was way funner anyway.

And later on...
Elliot got a remote control car for xmas. Which was crap. Actually it was beyond crap, and we promptly returned it. Then Matt spent the next 2 weeks scouring the internet for one that would actually work. It arrived on the 18th, Elliot had a quick play before he went to bed, and proceeded to drive it into the walls, the dog, his sister and himself. I'm not sure who had more fun, Elliot or his dad.

Halfway there :-D This photo-a-day project is really showing how boring my life is huh??
Day 13 - got home from the Creative Photo Workshop at 11pm and promptly remembered that I hadn't taken my PAD!!! Eek. So I snuck into Ivy's room with a torch and snapped this one while she slept soundly, bless her:

Day 14 - A boring day at home for me and Ivy while Elliot was still away. We didn't do much at all, but had a nice girly day at home painting our nails and reading books. I love these ones of her "reading". Early reading is a real treat to witness.. she babbles away to herself, pointing at the words etc.:

Day 15 - My boy and his big cuz came home from the country. All four cousins had a fun evening frolicking together, chasing kangaroos etc:

My kids:

My niece and nephew:

Day 16 - we had some visits from old and very dear friends today. This gorgeous girl is currently living with her equally gorgeous new husband in Germany, but they've been here for a few weeks visiting family and friends. Mario flew back to Germany today, while Layla has a couple more weeks in Australia. We had a lovely relaxing morning eating pancakes, drinking tea and playing Uno. I'll miss her terribly when she leaves again, but thanks to facebook she's never too far away:

A little behind in my blogging, but I did manage to get my photos taken! Mind you, they're mostly just crappy happy snaps, heaps of flash etc, but you know what? It doesn't matter, they're still my kids, and they still tell our story regardless of the quality of the shot...
Day 9 - some classic black and white portraits:

Day 10 - out for dinner with the fam to celebrate my birthday (which is on the 11th). The kids had a lot of fun with their cousin running amok and eating icecream:

Day 11 - my birthday. Stinking hot day here in Melbourne, so headed over to my parents for a swim. My sister spoilt me with icecream cake! (Someone didn't like having icecream all over her!):

Then we had more cake at home after dinner (heheheh):

Day 12 - Elliot was going on a holiday with his cousin to his grandparents place in the country. Here he is watching out the window waiting for Emma to arrive:

And while the cat's away, the mice will play (with his rockets/train tracks/anything else that is usually off limits!):

Yesterday the "cherubs" were playing together outside, when littlest "cherub" demands a swing. As per usual. Can't go outside without it... I thought, cool - here's my PAD... And it was totally fine, until E-man decides that he has to get in on the action. As per usual. And what started as something funny, turned into screaming and "noooo" from the little one, and back to fun again.
Siblings. *rolleyes*

And then today, E-man decided to put on a show. He made tickets for everyone, including his stuffed toys which were lined up in a row to watch the spectacle. The show was neatly scheduled between 5:35pm and 6:16pm to fit in with his favourite shows on telly. Here is his schedule. Food (ie- snacks fetched by Mummy) was served at 5:15pm, I think he wanted lollies, but he got grapes (heheh). His guest list included his Mum and Dad, sister Ivy, Avie the dog and Ernie the turtle, as well as his Boohbah friends...

And here are the kids putting on the show, the song in question was Wolfmother's 'Joker and the Thief':

Four days in, and I haven't given up yet! Heheh...
Day 3: trip to Ikea and cheap lunch... Going to Ikea on a weekend, battling crowds and fighting people for a carpark is almost worth it when you can feed the kids for 2 bucks. Almost...
Day 4: bowling... the 3 big kids bowled, the little one got in the way a lot and ran down the lanes a bit...
